The kind team over at Sheila's recommended we stop at JJ's for dinner; and it was one of the best pieces of advice yet. The restaurant isn't fancy, but the staff is extremely accommodating (a member of our party has a shellfish allergy); they had color books and an extensive kid's menu for the little one in our group- and selections on the menu everyone was happy with. The food was delicious and obviously homemade, and the service was great. JJ's is a real hidden gem in OOB, and worth the trip!

Perfect for lunch. Took family there for 1145 on a Friday...2,5,& 8 years old, right by the train tracks. Amusement in itself. Staff was fantastic and food was great. Strongly recommend.

After a long day at the beach and amusement park we were looking for a spot within walking distance to sit down and enjoy dinner. Great service, food and entertainment.

We have a 2nd home in OOB. Luckily it is in walking distance of JJ's!!!! The breakfast is wonderful. The lunch and dinner menus are very basic...nothing special, but the daily specials menu is what makes this place fantastic! It changes daily and I have never had a special that wasn't delicious. The decor is cheesy luncheonette but don't let that fool u. The food is always fresh and yummy, service is quick and above average. They also have a nice soup and salad bar. Reasonably priced. U can't go wrong. Highly recommended!

Great hidden lil gem! Kelsey was our server. She was prompt and knowledgable of the menu. We have come to JJ's the past three years and it's gotten better every time. I got the fish tacos, yum. My husband a med cooked burger. They were fairly priced. Our children got fish and chips and grilled cheeses they were both cooked to perfection and not greasy or over buttered. They have a nice little salad bar. We have never eaten off it but it's nice to have that option. Where most of the food around OOB is fried!! That have a small quaint little bar with a nice selection of drinks. We went at dinner time. Even though it's enticing I would recommend not sitting outside early evening, sun is in your face after spending the day at OOB. But that's your call. Looking forward to going back again next year!!

A sit down eatery between Pier Fries and the boardwalk on Old Orchard Beach. The food is pretty standard but decent after a day in the water. The outdoor seating is right next to the train tracks and if you have any little ones they will enjot the sight of the train going by.

My family and I dined here this morning for a quick bite to eat before we hit the beach. My dad got French toast, my brother got eggs, my stepmom got French toast (I believe) and I had chocolate chip pancakes. Okay, this place has a very unique pancake theory. I noticed on the menu that it was $4.95 for chocolate chip pancakes. I thought that seemed low, but I went with it. When I ordered, the waitress, who was really sweet and accommodating, told me it's just one big, thick pancake. Okay. I can chill with that. What I didn't expect was HOW big and thick it was. My pancake came out with no butter and sprinkled with confectionary sugar. I saw the pancake and gasped at the size. It was as big as your average size dinner plate, and as thick as one of those yellow legal pads you buy at a stationery store. And I swear to you, it was probably the best pancake I have ever had. Moist and very fluffy, not at all rubbery or tough. Whoever cooked it, dude(tte) I seriously salute you, make them for me every morning. The food also came out hot, which is a big pet peeve of mine in other restaurants when it comes out cold or lukewarm. The waitstaff were friendly, however I think a couple people called out sick because the help was so slim and it took a few minutes to get menus or drinks. A couple people actually left. But, the fact that the food was so great was something that makes me give this place 5 stars, as the fact that our waitress was so great, even though she was so busy. JJ's is a must for breakfast!
